Syberg is born, like Hans Christian Andersen, in Funen (Fyn), the third biggest island in Denmark.

There, he meets with the Fynboerne, it is, the residents of Funen, an artistic group that lived in the city but specialized in painting landscapes outdoors, particularly, in the less inhabited areas of the island.

Despite the title of the work, Lovemaking in the evening, is commonly associated with the sexual act, Syberg illustrates a more naive situation. In the composition, we see a country road that looses in the horizon. On both sites, we find two groups of people: although we cannot know what the ones in the background are doing, out attention is instantly drawn towards the couple in the foreground.

I may guess that the man has asked the girl to move further away from the group. As good manners require, they don’t disappear from the look of other, but they remain in a prudential distance. There, the man seems to woo her while she, politely, listens to him.

  1. In my head, if you show up at a Chanel party carrying anything else, Karl personally ushers you into the bathroom, strips you bare and completely re-dresses you in his designs on the fly, cursing at you in rapid-fire German the entire time.

  2. The icing on the cake is the comparison between Samsung’s monstrous phablet. The iPhone 6s Plus apparently clocked the same battery life as the Galaxy Note 5 in the custom benchmark test. Notably, the Samsung handset houses a bigger 3,000 mAh cell.
